The starter food selection was a tasty variety, the mains were flavourful and for dessert I particularly enjoyed the durian chocolate cake. Noting durian fruit is worth trying and have had before though not in chocolate cake, and it was delicious though may not be a dish for everyone’s liking due to smell. ”
“ We booked the restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary as we thought it would a special place to celebrate. The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. However, the service was very disappointing from the start. The person who ‘welcomed’ us just pointed to the closest table to the door even though there were other tables available and it certainly wasn’t that busy. It took a while to get a waitress’s attention so we could order, then the food came out before we could receive our drinks which we had to ask for twice. There was no offer of water and we were pretty much ignored. They didn’t even clear the plates from the table once we’d finished. There were plenty of serving staff, so not sure what they’re all doing. The service staff really let the restaurant down. One other note is that we were seated in the open bar area, so it was quite hot & humid - this was not clear on the booking that we made as we wouldn’t have chosen to be seated there. ”
